AI Haven (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit aihaven.com.

Information We Collect

We do not require you to create an account to use AI Haven. We may collect:

• Usage data (pages visited, time on site) via analytics
• Device and browser information
• Information you voluntarily submit via contact forms
• Email addresses and consent records you submit for game release notifications

Date Night Game

The Date Night game does not require an account. Your active run, choices, relationship scores, conversation history, and unlocked results are stored in your browser so that you can resume on that device. Detailed active runs expire after 12 hours without a new save. Unlocks and your last result remain on that device until you use the game's clear-data control or clear this site's browser storage. We do not provide cloud or cross-device game saves.

Most Date Night responses are written in advance. If you choose an optional freeform interaction, or explicitly enable AI-enhanced authored reactions in the game settings, we may send the submitted or selected reply and up to six recent, length-limited dialogue turns to OpenRouter, using the model configured on our server, to classify or produce a character reaction. The default configured model is DeepSeek V4 Flash. The setting is off by default. We do not send your email address, full game history, relationship scores, or raw network identifiers with that request. Do not submit sensitive personal information in freeform responses. OpenRouter and the selected model provider's own privacy and retention terms also apply to data they process.

When optional AI is enabled, we set a 12-hour, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax session cookie scoped to the Date Night API. Our server derives HMAC identifiers for that session, your IP address, the interaction, and the request. The runtime database stores those derived identifiers rather than the raw cookie, raw IP address, player text, or transcript. It may cache a successfully stored generated response payload for up to 15 minutes to replay immediate retries. If that completion write fails, the generated response is not returned to the game; the reservation blocks immediate retries until it expires, after which a later attempt may contact the provider again. AI session, interaction, and rate-limit records stop authorizing work when they expire. An authenticated cleanup job runs daily, so expired rows are physically removed within about 24 hours after logical expiry when the job is operating normally.

If you ask us to email your compatibility archetype, we send your email address, character name, archetype, and the archetype page link to Resend for one transactional email. We also keep separate durable abuse-prevention buckets derived by HMAC from the IP address and normalized email; raw IP addresses and email addresses are not stored in those rate-limit buckets. The buckets stop applying when they expire and are physically removed by the same daily cleanup job.

Product updates are a separate, optional subscription. If you request them, we store your email address and only a hash of the one-time confirmation token. The confirmation becomes unusable after seven days. An expired pending record is scheduled for deletion 30 days after expiry and is removed by the next successful daily cleanup run. Confirmed subscriptions are retained until you request deletion at contact@aihaven.com.

Game Release Notifications

When you join a game release list, we use your email address only for the release notification and essential messages about that request. Release-list records carry a 24-month retention deadline. You can unsubscribe from any email or ask us to delete the record sooner.
